He was predeceased by his father Clibborn Thomas Jr.; grandparents, Clibborn Sr. and Muriel; his uncle and auntie, Thomas and Cora Cochrane.

Virgil was born and raised in Peguis where he spent some of his life. He attended the Cadet program that was in Fisher Branch in his youth years. It Broke Our Hearts To Lose You

It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

Though your smile is gone forever,
And your hand we cannot touch,
We will never lose the memory,
Of one we loved so much.

Thanks for the loving years you gave us,
The happy times we shared,
We all pray that when you left us,
You knew how much we cared.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
