The Life of Raleigh

Raleigh was born on April 13, 1998, at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg to Steven Flett and Teena (Jinx) Sinclair.

Raleigh lived a very fulfilling and adventurous life in his younger years. He was a happy, mischievous boy who always played outside with his friends and family, who all have fond memories of him growing up. When Raleigh was in his teen years, his Hotomani family introduced him to his culture, and he became immersed. He was a champion grass dancer and had travelled to many places throughout North America. His unique dance style captured the attention and hearts of the crowd, the judges, and his friends and family. Raleigh had a beautiful voice and knew many of the older powwow songs that he would sing on the big drum.  He deeply cherished his spiritual side; he prayed a lot, spoke about God often, and shared what he learned with others.

Raleigh had a deep love for his sisters, nieces, nephews, parents, cousins, and friends. He was a very loyal, honest person and spoke highly of his loved ones. Raleigh worked hard attaining his GED Diploma and was so proud when he received it, often bragging to his sisters about how fast he finished his schoolwork. Raleigh was intelligent, with so many wonderful qualities. He was helpful to his family and was there whenever someone asked. He showed up to important events and was very proud of his loved ones. Raleigh will forever be loved and missed greatly by so many people on this earth.

Raleigh is survived by his grandfather Russell Sinclair, his parents Steven Flett and Teena Sinclair; siblings, respectively, Skylar (Precious), Amber, Rianna, Mia, Ariel, little Cedar Bear, and his godchild/niece Genesis, niece Allison, and nephew Noah. His aunties and uncles, Dale Flett, Ray Flett, Kim Flett (James), Loretta Ross, Benji Thomas (Kaitlyn), Betsy Sinclair, Sherri Hudson (Bill), Trevor Sinclair, Chrissy Hansen (Darrell).

Raleigh is predeceased by his grandparents, Morley Flett Senior, Mable Thomas, Christina Sinclair, his uncles on his father's side; Elvis Thomas, Darrell Flett, and Morley Flett Junior (Geronimo). On his mother's side; auntie Penny Sinclair, uncle Jerry Peters, cousins Brandy and Veronica Sinclair.

He will be forever lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles of both Fisher River and Peguis, and numerous cousins, too many to mention but not forgotten.
