Dear Papa,
It still feels strange knowing you're gone. Even though we knew this day would come, it doesn't make it any easier.
I've been thinking a lot about your life, you were born back on April 6, 1943, in Vogar, and went through so much growing up.
The experiences you carried from those early years stayed with you,
but so did your strength. You built a life from that, you and Grandma Beverly raised a big family, and because of that, I was lucky enough to be one of the people who got to call you Papa.
That's something I'll always be grateful for. You were one of the hardest working men I've ever known. Whether it was your years as a tinsmith or working roofing jobs, you put everything you had into providing.
You didn't just work—you took care of people. That was who you were.
What I'll remember most, though, are the moments where you taught me things—like the time you helped me wire in that stove.
I had never seen one hardwired like that before and had no idea
what I was doing. You stepped in and got it done, like you always did—but at the same time, you explained what was happening and what needed to be done. You didn't just fix things, you made
sure I understood them too. That's something I'll carry with me.
He showed up for everyone. He was a real “Mr. Fix It.”
He was kind, strong, and always there to help.
Maybe a little stubborn too—but that was just part of who he was.
No matter the project, reno, or job, he'd show up and get it done.
I'll always hear your voice in my head saying “boy, you now...”
honestly, I don't even know if there were more “boy, you know's”
or the story itself. You said it so much, it just became part
of you. It's something nobody will forget.
Papa you meant the world to all of us, forever in our hearts.
We Love You

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings as eagles.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd:
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
