Wishing everyone her love, her strength, her guidance as we navigate and announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, Chapan Nora Easter, at St. Paul's Personal Care Home, The Pas Manitoba. On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 88 years old.
Nora Easter was born to Angeline and George Ballantyne in Grand Rapids on February 23, 1936. She lived in Grand Rapids most of her life before she met the love of her life, Wilson Easter. They were united in marriage in 1954 and had 11 children together. Nora enjoyed raising her children and provided a loving care environment in everyone she came in contact with.
Nora enjoyed raising her children and provided a loving home, she offered a warm and caring environment to everyone she encountered. Nora enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, especially her chapans. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and embroidery. Nora spent most of her time camping with her children and she loved baking and cooking, especially during large gatherings at her home. Mom was the guiding light of our lives. Her love and care have shaped us into the people we are today. She would put our needs and happiness above everything else. Later in life Nora loved to travel with her brother William along with her nieces and nephews. Nora will be greatly appreciated and missed by all who knew her, especially by her children and grandkids, the family will also miss her ways of advice, always directly from her heart.
