It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorinda Farrah Anderson on April 14, 2026.
Lorinda will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her parents, Dwain and Linda Anderson, husband, David (Gooch) Woodhouse, and her siblings: Tiffany, Jill (Joey), Tim (Stephanie), Dwain Jr. (Katie), Kelsey (Dana), Emmanuel (Isis), Fionna (Joshua), Roxy (Justin), and Tyson (Kaylee). Uncles, Barry (Margaret), Verne, Ron (Norma), Merle (Chantal) and Clarence. Aunts, Evie (Albert), Lorraine (John), Kathy, Red (Marty). She also leaves behind 37 cherished nieces and nephews, a great niece (Lillyanna), a large extended family of cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
She was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Edward and Myrtle Anderson, who raised her as their “skunk”, and both played a significant role in her life. Her grandparents, Albert Woodhouse and Anne Woodhouse, sister, Tanya and uncles, Edward and Russell Woodhouse and her cousin Ashton John Sinclair.
Lorinda grew up the eldest child and grandchild. She was very influential and protective of all her younger siblings and cousins. She grew up in the age of cassette tapes, playing outside until the mercury lights came on and plastic bread bags in rubber boots. Teen years consisted of party lines, youth group nights, big hair and doing doughnuts in the parking lot. These memories will be cherished and remembered by those fortunate enough to be a part of them as it was also a time before everything was recorded.
Lorinda fought a brave battle against Covid-19 and cancer. She bravely beat them, but she would never fully recover and battled consistent health related conditions over the years. Despite these challenges and obstacles along the way, she always put on a brave face.
Lorinda married her best friend and love, Gooch (David Woodhouse), on October 11, 2025. Together, they had recently begun an exciting new chapter, moving into their first home and building a life filled with love, hope, and plans for the future.
Lorinda found joy in spending time with her family. She had a special bond with her siblings, nieces and nephews and treasured the moments shared with her many cousins and friends. Her kindness, warmth, and love for those around her will never be forgotten. She will be forever missed and always remembered.
Wake Service: Friday, April 24, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Service: Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.
Both service will take place at the Fairford House of Prayer on Pinaymootang First Nation.

Interment: St. Helen’s Anglican Cemetery, Fairford, Manitoba

Pallbearers: Lorinda’s Brothers, cousins, nephew and godson: Timothy Anderson, Brent (Kojack) Hudson, Emmanuel Anderson, Tyson Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Vince Anderson, Bobby Anderson, Toby Anderson and Xian Endall.
Honorary Pallbearers: All who knew and loved her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Gypsumville RCMP, Ashern Paramedics, and the many family and friends who came to be with us. The family wishes to further acknowledge their appreciation to Pinaymootang Chief and Council and the many people who expressed their thoughts, prayers and condolences during this difficult time. Finally, the family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Parker (PJ) and Cassidy (Cass) for providing much love and support for Lorinda when she was required to be away from home for medical reasons.
