It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Karl Robert James Stagg Jr. on January 30, 2026 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, with his family by his side, at the age of 34 years.
Karl leaves to mourn his aunt, Loverine Stagg who he considered his mom; his father, Karl Stagg Sr.; brothers, William Sinclair (Boy George), Clayton James-Stagg, Adrian James-Stagg, Ethan James-Stagg and Quinn James-Stagg; his sons, Leo James-Stagg and Damien James-Stagg; Payton and Malachi Stagg whom he considered his brothers; step-daughter, Samarah Pruden; aunts and uncles, Maxine (Melferd) Catcheway, Darlene (Calvin) Woodhouse, Karen McKay, Patty Sinclair, Robert (Jane) Sinclair, Trina Maud, Merdina (Cecil) Woodhouse, Emily Letandre, Gordon (Olive) Stagg, Norma (Ron) Anderson; his special cousins, Sammy Sinclair, Chad Stagg (Chucky), Marsha Gabriel, Tonita Stagg, Clayton Sinclair, Allie Maud, David Stagg, Gerald Sinclair (Chuckie), April McKay and Calvin Woodhouse Jr.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Karl was predeceased by his grandparents, William Sinclair (2020) and Maggie Sinclair (2022); mother, Marilyn Sinclair (2024); infant brother, George (1995); great grandfather, John James Sinclair (2000) and Gordon (2026) and Genevieve Stagg (2015); aunts Pearl Letandre and Bessie Anderson (2005); cousin, Jamie Maud (2005); and by his common-law, Courtney Pruden and their baby boy; as well as numerous other relatives.
Karl loved to hang out with his cousins and his family. He enjoyed all the family gatherings, and he especially loved to eat! He helped out as much as he could, cutting grass or doing maintenance around the house. Karl gave his life to the Lord before he passed away, which gives us a lot of comfort. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by us all.
The family would like to thank the Pinaymootang Chief & Council; Lake St. Martin Band; the nurses at the Health Sciences Centre MICU; all those who donated; and the Anderson Family Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
Services will take place at the House of Prayer, Fairford, Manitoba
Interment will follow at the Lake St. Martin Cemetery.
