It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, godfather, brother in-law and friend, Jacob George, on May 29, 2026.

Dad lived his life with kindness, generosity, and a deep love for family, friends, and community. He was known for his caring nature, his warm smile, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. A caring and dependable friend, Dad valued the relationships he built throughout his life and cherished every opportunity to spend time with those he loved.

One of dad's greatest joys was visiting the Old Post, where he enjoyed sharing stories, laughter, and companionship with friends. He especially loved visiting his daughter, Pat, checking in on her and spending precious time with his grandchildren. Family meant everything to him, and he took great pride in staying connected to those he loved.

Dad greatly appreciated the friendship and support of his best friends, Elvis George, Bruce George and Floyd George, their daily visits and check-ins brought him comfort and happiness. Their friendship was one that dad treasured deeply. Dad also cherished the time he spent visiting with his nephew Austin George, sharing countless stories, laughter, and memories together. Their special bond was built on love, respect, and a deep family connection that they both treasured throughout the Years.

He loved spending time outdoors, sitting quietly and taking in the beauty of nature while reminiscing about cherished memories. Dad also had a passion for dancing, commercial fishing, and gathering with family and friends. He enjoyed the company of others and was happiest when surrounded by laughter, and conversations.

Dad is survived by his wife Patsy George; his children, Gail Sinclair, Rolanda George (Harold) and Patricia George (Jimmy Sr); his grandchildren, Tammy George, Norman George, Rema Sinclair, Francis George, Hailey George, Conrad Walker, Ashley George and Clifton Walker; nieces, Gladys Ballantyne, Samantha Lachose, Alice Chartier, Sandra Chartier, Barbara Campbell, Shania Chadney and Josephine Munroe; nephews, Russell Chartier, Gary Chartier, Ray George, Henry Munroe Jr, Conway Munroe and Waylon Munroe; his great-grandson Robert George. If we forgot to mention anyone, it was not intentional.

Dad was predeceased by his parents, Adolphus and Ellen George; his sisters, Mabel Chartier (Peter), Phyllis Packo (Ben) and Mildred Munroe (Henry); his brothers, Herman George (Linda), Norman George (Virginia), Angus George, Matthew George and Francis George; his step-daughter Bertha Nasekapow; his nephews, Kenny George and Hubert George; and his nieces, Cathy George and Delia Chartier.

Dad will be greatly missed by his many friends, his best friends Elvis George and Bruce George, Floyd George and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, the love, kindness, and memories he shared will remain in our hearts forever.

Appreciation

The family of Jekky would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Elvis George, who faithfully checked in on Dad, ensured he was well cared for, and always looked out for his well-being. Your friendship, unwavering support, and dedication meant more to him and to our family than words can express. Also to Shirley Lavallee for all that she has done to help and support us.

We also wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to Chief and Council, the dedicated cooks of Chemawawin Organization, and especially to Floyd George, for graciously opening your home and welcoming our father into your family until his passing. Your kindness, compassion, and loving care provided him with comfort, dignity, and a true sense of belonging during his final days.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank everyone who offered prayers, support, visits, meals, phone calls, and countless acts of kindness throughout this difficult time. Your love, generosity, and compassion have been a source of strength and comfort to our family, and we will always be deeply grateful.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts
